Capability

How the components are made and checked

Fittings are manufactured at our own works at Haridwar, Uttarakhand. That is what keeps dimensional control, material control and the documentation that evidences both in one place.

What we produce

Three forms, one works

Most enquiries are answered by one of these. Which is right depends on the service, the size and what the specification will accept.

Seamless

Formed from seamless pipe or bar with no longitudinal weld, for the highest-integrity service where a weld seam is not acceptable.

Welded

Formed from welded pipe and plate, the economical choice across large-bore utility, water and general process service.

Fabricated

Built up from plate and pipe where a size, angle or configuration falls outside the standard range: miter elbows, lateral tees, barred tees and non-standard reducers.

Full dimensional data, wall thicknesses and pressure classes for each range are in the Technical Catalog, and the standards themselves are summarised on the standards reference.

Assessed and certified

Management systems and product directives

The quality, environmental and safety systems, and product directives, we are assessed against.

  • ISO 9001:2015Quality management system
  • ISO 14001:2015Environmental management system
  • ISO 45001:2018Occupational health and safety management system
  • PED 2014/68/EUPressure Equipment Directive: quality system compliance assessment
  • Machinery Directive 2006/42/ECTechnical file compliance assessment

Process

From material receipt to despatch

Seven steps, each with a check that has to pass before the work moves on, so nothing leaves that has not been reconciled to what you ordered.

  1. Material receipt

Incoming pipe, plate and bar are checked against the order and the mill documentation before anything reaches production, so a grade discrepancy is caught at the gate rather than at inspection.

  2. Forming

Elbows, bends, tees, reducers, caps, collars and stub ends are formed to the dimensional requirements of the governing standard: ASME B16.9 for buttweld and B16.11 for forged.

  3. Welding and fabrication

Fabricated configurations and pre-assembled spools are welded to the arrangement drawing. Duplex and super duplex work is controlled for heat input, which is what preserves the ferrite-austenite balance those grades depend on.

  4. Machining and finishing

Weld preparations, bevels and faces are machined to the end connection specified. Hygienic components are polished and, where required, electropolished to the internal surface finish stated on the order.

  5. Inspection

Dimensions, wall thickness and end preparation are checked against the standard. Our quality assurance team reviews each line of the order with the sales staff against what you specified: grade, size, schedule, standard and documentation.

  6. Testing

Hydrostatic testing is carried out where the standard or the order requires it; mild steel fittings are tested at 1.5× design pressure before supply.

  7. Documentation and despatch

Material test certificates and the test and inspection records called for by the order are compiled and issued with the goods, so the consignment can be signed in without a follow-up request.

Documentation

Tell us what has to arrive with the goods

In most of the plants we supply, a component without its paperwork cannot be installed. Material test certificates, test and inspection records, and any third-party or IBR documentation your specification calls for are compiled against the order and issued with the consignment.

The requirement varies more than people expect between a maintenance replacement and a project package, so it is worth stating up front. Include it with the enquiry and it is priced and planned from the start rather than chased afterwards.

Worth stating on the enquiry

  • Material test certificate (MTC), with the EN 10204 type required
  • Hydrostatic test certificate
  • Dimensional inspection report
  • IBR certification, where the line falls in scope
  • Positive material identification (PMI)
  • Surface finish record, for hygienic components
  • Third-party inspection, and by whom

Enquiries

Discuss a manufacturing requirement

Non-standard configurations, fabricated spools and documentation packages are all worth a conversation before the enquiry is written.
